Services & Implementation
The long-range goal of The National
Drug Free Youth Foundation is to provide information and
governing principles to assist schools, governments,
organizations, and individuals to develop, create, and
maintain NDF chapters. This would include program manuals,
information, free or discounted drug testing, and both
technical and financial assistance in the creation and
development of local chapters. NDF will serve as the
vehicle for National recognition, and will handle
large-scale promotion, marketing, and advertising through
major marketing campaigns, serving to boost enrollment and
merchant participation on local and National levels. Local
chapters can add certain components to their program
curriculums such as community service, and can promote and
market themselves to provide added services and value to
their programs.
Additionally, NDF will serve as a
National Drug Test Bank for local chapters and outside
affiliates. Funding for this crucial component for the
small existing programs is a factor that greatly affects
their sustainability and challenges the quality and
longevity of the program. These unassisted programs can
only exist and be successful contingent upon having a
laboratory that can fulfill the drug testing requirements at
an affordable rate.
NDF will also provide marketing
materials, t-shirts, folders, window stickers, National
merchant discounts and support, a major web portal,
training, volunteer support, start-up assistance and
development manuals, funding, and referral linkage systems
for students needing intervention, and treatment services.
There are three organizational
stages for the Foundation, which include Pre-Development,
Development, and Fully Operational. Pre-Development
implementation includes office setup, staff recruitment,
strategic planning, marketing plan development, presentation
development, sponsor database development, sponsor contact
and regional staff recruitment.
Initial staffing includes
volunteers and Board Members who have worked and have
expertise in social services, community relations, public
administration, school districts, governmental relations,
marketing, promotions, and various financial backgrounds to
assist
the organization in its flexible
income generating strategies for sustainability and growth.
